HR Summit and Expo 2017: Round up and Takeaways
We were thrilled to be part of the GCC’s biggest HR show, the HR Summit and Expo 2017, this past November in Dubai. Not only did we get the opportunity to meet with some pretty amazing employers in the region but we also got to know other innovative companies in the HR tech space.
Here were some of our observations:
1. Employers are becoming more tech-savvy
In these challenging times, efficiency is key and companies are recruiting a lot more carefully than before. They want to streamline their processes – whether it is agency and visa management or vacancy advertising – and they want to make sure they have the right technology to help them do this.
2. Companies don’t want to implement just another expensive software
A lot of senior HR stakeholders coming by our stand mentioned not wanting to repeat past implementations gone wrong. Companies want to invest in good tools but need to make sure projects are delivered on time and on budget while delivering the expected results.
3. Having a good brand image is important
Increasingly, employers want to have a good store front for top candidates. This is as true amongst industry leaders as it is amongst small and medium-sized companies.
